WebSCM Description
Characteristics of the service The WebSCM web application allows all registered users (suppliers) who do not have their own EDI system, in accordance with the standards and recommendations for electronic communication applied in the VW Group. The WebSCM application is based on web technologies, so the user only needs a web browser to use all functionalities. Each registered user can log in to WebSCM with a unique username and password at www.vwgroupsupply.com. Receipt and basic processing of the call-off
Škoda Auto sends call-offs using the standard EDI message Global DELFOR (VDA4984) to the web server, where they are stored in the WebSCM application after conversion. Once saved, the call-off is available for viewing by the user, at the same time the supplier is informed by e-mail that a new call-off has been issued. The user has the possibility to sort the displayed call-offs by issue date, part number,... and then display the relevant call-offs within the selected sort. Creating and sending an electronic delivery note In WebSCM, the user creates a delivery note for a call-off that he has selected from the list of issued call-offs. The delivery note takes all the "master" data from the selected call-off (e.g. supplier no., part no., customer plant, unloading point, ...) and the user enters only the data specific to this delivery note (quantity, shipping date, packaging, ...). On the basis of the completed data, an electronic delivery note is created in the format of the EDI message Global DESADV (VDA4987). The message is automatically sent to Škoda Auto on the date selected by the user after confirmation in the application. Printing the delivery note and GTL labels (Transport Labels) for the delivery The generated delivery note (in VDA4939 format) and GTL labels (in VDA4994 format) in the WebSCM application are according to the current VW Group standards and recommendations. |
